The operator pilots the patient-simulator during the simulation. This person is responsible for running the various simulations. He/she may provide support to the facilitators and learners during the simulation. He/she organizes and prepares simulation-related materials and equipment.
The operator participates in the selection of specialized equipment, apparatus, accessories and simulation instruments; ensures their operation and rational use, and adapts them to specific needs. He or she also maintains the equipment.
An ESPA-Montreal resource person will briefly introduce you to the basic principles of simulation, then, based on your needs and professional experience in the field, teach you how to navigate a simulation environment (operation of the mannequin, technological and audiovisual supports, programming, fluids, basic maintenance). At the end of the course, she’ll point out some of the materials and resources available.
We can organize training courses on your premises, on request and subject to certain conditions.
The Advanced Debriefing, Screenwriting and Facilitator Debriefing courses can easily be transferred to other premises. High-fidelity clinical simulation training requires a simulation area with a mannequin on the premises.
